How do I choose which Whirley Pop to buy?

The famous Whirley Pop popcorn popper has evolved over the years and has been constantly improved. It now comes in two metal configurations, a colour changing version, and the latest, with metal gears. There are also a couple of box types carried by CornPopper.ca. Let’s take a closer look at them.
Product Code 25008A
The original Whirley Pop popcorn popper is a silver-coloured aluminum pot with nylon gears. It’s famous for its traditional good looks, and a 25 year warranty on mechanical parts (the lid and turning mechanism).
This popper is great for making the occasional batch of popcorn on a regular stove (all but induction types). The aluminum pot heats up quickly and within 3 or 4 minutes you’ll be munching away. It’s also easy to clean – just wipe it out with a paper towel and put away.
Product Codes 26003 and 26006
There’s also a red version of the Whirley Pop available. Everything about it is the same as the silver one, except it comes in a nice, red finish.
Product Code 26007
The colour changing Whirley Pop was introduced in 2014. When cool, this aluminum pot is red in colour, and has nylon gears. As it heats up during popping it gradually changes to a buttery yellow colour due to the special paint. Your popcorn won’t taste any different when using this Whirley Pop, but it is just a little more fun to use!
Product Code 22000MG
This version of the Whirley Pop has metal gears and is a new product in 2015. The pot is aluminum, but the gears used in the turning mechanism are metal, instead of nylon. This provides stronger turning and is better if you like to add glazes or sugar to the pot while popping.
Product Code 24003 and 24008
Simply the best! This beautiful polished stainless steel Whirley Pop works on all stove-tops, including induction types. The lid and gears are also metal, which enhances its appearance and works for whatever types of popcorn you make – plain, kettle corn, or glazed corn. Just like other models, it’s easy to clean: after use let it cool, and simply give it a wipe with a paper towel before storing.
